5 Days of Happiness

1. Knee

I went to a specialist in the hospital again today for the results of my MRI scan and to see what we're going to do next about my knee. Basically, there's just too much room in my joints and my ligaments are too long; and the running last year triggered pain. The only thing I can do about it is wait until it gets better - which, according to the orthopedist, "if you're lucky, might be in a few years already!". I'm going to look at it the positive way, though - I don't need to have surgery and there's nothing bad or creepy going on. I'll just have to wait it out.

2. Shopping

Because I was kind of bummed about the orthopedist's verdict, the shopping I did afterwards with my parents and sister (we had planned that shopping trip in advance) was extra nice. I bought two shirts, a super-soft cardigan, three gorgeous winter dresses, some nice Rituals stuff (shampoo and body cream), and two pairs of shoes. I feel like a proper Galinda now, but I'm really happy with all the stuff and the shopping certainly helped cheering me up (though after spending a few hours in crowded stores, I instantly turn into an Elphie and just want to go home and read a book).

3. Food

It wasn't healthy food today... but it was good-tasting food. Especially the delicious chocolate milk I had with lunch and the chips we ate for dinner ^_^. I didn't eat anything really unhealthy aside from that today and tomorrow I'll be going back to my green smoothies, but still - good food does make me happy.

I was pretty nervous about today, especially the MRI scan results, but I'm glad it turned out to be a good day after all.

Maddy
