So as many of you know, I am currently posting a new fanfic - it's called Days of Summer and it's just a happy, sunny Fiyeraba story. Most about it is actually based on the things I have seen and/or experienced since I arrived here in Portugal!
- Day One:
The Tiggulars' beach house is based on two things. The outside was inspired by a lovely house I saw in a village one day, while the inside is mostly based on the house I myself am staying right now (though obviously, we have a lot less bed- and bathrooms and no attic, parlour, or drawing room :P. Or real sitting rooms, for that matter - just a living room with open kitchen).
- Day Two:
We did go to a market in a cute little village, only not for very long and there was no wine (that I know of, haha).
- Day Four:
The 'Fill In The Blanks' stories? You wouldn't believe how much fun we had with those. Something about a bunch of handsome Italians applauding for us with their legs. And another one in which I apparently threw my arms around my friend Sander's small toe.
I used three ones in the story. The first one, about the beach, was taken from the Internet; the second and third ones (the fortune telling and Fiyeraba's love story) I made up myself. You wouldn't believe how much fun I had writing that. I still secretly crack up every time I read it back - especially the love story, haha.
